#AtoZofLife – Wave

For me, the scariest transportation is via ocean. Ocean is somehow scary for me. It’s huge, deep and unknown. I know that we use weather forecast and such geographical calculation to check whether there will be storm or wave before we depart and go along the ocean. But what if in the middle of the journey there is a tremendous wave that can drown our ship? We can expect the wave is coming but we cannot avoid it.

No matter how scary the wave is, it is what makes a good sailor. The wave trains the sailor’s mentality and skills. The sailor will be more prepared next time. At the same time, the wave is also a signage. It’s a signage that the ship should change its direction. Can you relate this story to our life?
Yes, you are right. The Ocean is our life, the great unknown; the wave is the challenges in our life and we are the sailor. There will always be challenges in life. How do we usually react when there are challenges out there? Often we whine when challenges approached. We curse as if the world is against us. Well, maybe it’s true. The stumbling block was there to redirect us. However, the challenge can be there because He wants us to learn something. He wants us to develop even more. So, how can we differentiate which challenge is which? We just have to sail along the wave while asking Him.
Question to self:
1. When the challenge encounter, how’d you react? Do you usually give up easily?
2. Let’s think about it, have you ever experienced God redirected your way through the challenges He gave?
